Creative Placemaking and Community Led Housing — towards implementing Community Land Trusts in Ireland
17 April 2026, The Powerhouse, Callan, Co. Kilkenny | Pre-Registration Expression of Interest
Cois Baile Seminar
The Cois Baile Seminar focuses on community-led approaches to Creative Placemaking and Community-Led Housing, particularly the practical implementation of Community Land Trusts in Ireland.
The seminar is organised by Workhouse Union, Tri Siolta Community Land Trust, Cork Community Land Trust and Cloughjordan Co-Housing. The seminar is practitioner-focused and co-designed around the needs of groups and projects in Ireland. We are reaching out to groups and projects across the country to get to know your particular context so we can shape the seminar meaningfully to the needs of this growing collective movement.
The Cois Baile Seminar aims to support grassroots action towards Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in Ireland. Whatever their form, CLTs share values of care and agency for their locality, and stewardship of land for the future and the common good.
Our intention for this seminar is to:
Highlight practitioners and organisations who champion these approaches
Foster mutual support to better serve our communities
Strengthen the broader CLT movement through meaningful advocacy and action
We are asking you to complete this survey to better ensure the seminar benefits all participants, to identify shared challenges, and to connect existing people and activities on the ground.
We want to hear from you. Please complete this form by 5 pm, 20 March 2026.
